FARMDALE- Mabel D. Osborn, age 88, passed away September 9, 2018 at her residence with her family at her side. Mabel was born September 20, 1929 in Warren to the late George A. and Marion A. (Miller) Dilley. She was a graduate of Cortland High School. Mabel was a member of the Johnston Federated United Methodist Church and the Susanna Circle. She was known for her cooking and baking. Mabel will be remembered for her devotion to her church family, especially working funeral dinners, the church bazaar, church reunions, and Farm Bureau dinners as well. She was active with the Board of Elections and was a member of the Johnston Firemans Association. Besides her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband Leonard M. Osborn, who she married August 24, 1952, he died May 15, 2004; her brothers Robert and Glenn Dilley. Mabel is survived by her children Genise (Dennis) Lohr, Leonard "Bud" (Carol) Osborn, and Jean (Richard) Revoir; her sister Evelyn Johns, and four grandchildren, Michelle (John) Paul, Kevin (Ashley) Lohr, Kim (James) Meckley, Brianna Maynard, and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call 6-8PM Tuesday, September 11th at the Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland. The funeral service will be 10AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ron McIlvaine officiant. Interment Johnston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Johnston Federated United Methodist Church.
