AUSTINTOWN---Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday in Immanuel Lutheran Church for Margaret E. Albrecht, 79 of S. DeHoff Drive, who passed away Sunday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Margaret was born February 23, 1923 in Youngstown, the daughter of Edwin and Selma A. Johnson Ridder and was a lifelong area resident. She had been employed as an insurance agent last working for the Eich Brothers Ins. Co., retiring in the early 1980’s. Margaret had also worked for the James & Sons Ins. Co. and the H H H / Neilson Ins. Agency. She was a member of the church and had taught Sunday School there along with being a member of the Luther-Ans church sewing group. Other memberships include the Holborn Herb Growers Guild, the TQGIBT Quilters, the American Quilting Society, the N.E. Ohio Regional Quilt Council and the Youngstown Embroidery Guild. Margaret was also an avid bowler. She was a graduate of the South High School. She is survived by her husband, Ralph C. Albrecht, whom she married Sept. 18, 1943, a daughter, Nancie Hoyng of Celina, OH, two sons, Thomas and Raymond Albrecht both of Youngstown, and 5 grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and from Noon until the time of service Thursday at the church. The family requests that material contrubutioins take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of Youngstown or the Immanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
