Margaret Jane Hudson

Margaret J. Hudson, 77 of Farmdale, died Friday evening, August 3, 2018, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren. She was born June 20, 1941 in Warren, the daughter of the late Ermine M. and Etta Mae Jones Hillyer. She had been a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Vernon High School. She was a dedicated homemaker all of her married life and loved spending time with her family and her grandsons. She loved tole painting in acrylics, making crafts and woodworking. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening and feeding and watching the birds. Margaret is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. Hudson Sr., whom she married January 24, 1961; two sons, Robert A. Hudson Jr. and Raymond A. (Debbie) Hudson both of Farmdale; two grandsons, John Jones and Zachary Hudson; two sisters, Elsie Marie Conti of Sharon and Nancy Mae Mosconi of Greenville and three brothers, George Milo Hillyer of N. Carolina, James Hillyer of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Charles Hillyer of Vernon. Six sisters, Mary Skidmore, Irene Gray, Erdeene Bell, Josephine Koone, Doris Bakos and Patricia Crocker and one brother, Lester Hillyer all have preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Pastor Rose Parks Byrne will officiate. Burial will be at Johnston Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Rd. NE, Warren, OH 44483.
