Marian E. Valiski

Marian E. Valiski of Johnston Township passed away Sunday September 9, 2018 at Ohio Living Lake Vista in Cortland. She was born on September 27, 1925 in Masury, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Susan (Condi) Russo. Marian moved to Greenville, PA as a child and graduated from Penn High School. She worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. On October 19, 1946 Marian was united in marriage to John Valiski who preceded her in death on April 7, 1993. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland. She enjoyed gardening, canning tomatoes, baking raisin filled cookies and playing cards. Mrs. Valiski is survived by her sons John (Marie) Valiski and Robert (Roselyn) Valiski of Johnston Township; her grandchildren Christine (Daniel) Gross, Jennifer (Raymond) Soloman, Michael Valiski and Joseph (Ashley) Valiski, her 5 great-grandsons Colin & Connor Gross, Santino & Angelo Valiski and Raymond Robert Soloman. Besides her husband and parents; Marian was preceded in death by her brothers Mike & Ralph Russo and sisters Anne Daughtery and Virginia Bogden. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 13, 2018 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church with Fr. Carl Kish officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
