Marian F. Beals

Services will be noon Monday at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church for Marian F. Beals, 86, of Austintown, who passed away Thursday morning in Victoria House. Marian was born November 17, 1923 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of Harvey and Elizabeth (Bell) Vandall. Marian was formerly of Akron OH, and Ashville NC, and moved to this area in 2009. She was an English teacher with Old Trail School in Akron retiring in October 1978. She was a graduate of Michigan State University, was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority at the University, and attended Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church since she moved to the area. Marian was involved in numerous volunteer efforts including Hospice and Battered Women's Shelters among others. Her husband, the late Terry L. Beals, whom she married August 10, 1946, passed away in July of 2004. Marian leaves two children; Susan Beals of Johnson City, Tenn., and Bob (Cindi) Beals of Austintown, one sister; Helen Dusenbury of Royal Oak, Michigan, seven grandchildren; Lisa Huff, Michelle Longoria, Jacob Shank, Ben Beals, Katie Beals, Joey Beals, and Sarah Beals, as well as four great grandchildren; Jordan, Ryan, and Hannah Longoria, and Lindy Shank. Besides her parents and husband, Marian is preceded in death by a son John Beals. Family and friends may call from 11 AM until noon at the church. Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
