Marian J. Morrison, 70, passed at her home on May 19, 2018 after a bravely fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Marian was born in Warren on June 21, 1947 to Edward J. & Virginia (Thorson) Campbell. After meeting him in first grade, Marian became the beautiful bride to her lifelong love Vernon Morrison on October 7, 1967. A hard-working career woman by nature, Marian worked for McNeal Company before joining the office staff at Burton Rubber. Ready for bigger challenges, she became a charter founder of Elastochem in Chardon, a chemical dispersion company. In 1997, she helped found and was a vice president at Gold Key in Middlefield, a rubber manufacturing company. She retired in 2008. Marian was a woman of faith. She was an active member of Wildare United Methodist Church. She found great joy tending to her flower beds, gardening and keeping the lawns manicured at the farm. She was also a beautiful quilter. Together, Marian and Vernon traveled around the world. One of their favorite destinations was Australia where they made friendships with several families; a long lasting bond with the Ellis family in particular. Visitation for Marian will be held on Thursday May 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes; Roberts-Clark Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Friday May 25th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sager Cemetery. Marian is survived by her husband of 50 years, Vernon; her siblings John Campbell of Florida, Wesley (Donna) Campbell of Bristolville, Jan (Patrick) Was of Champion; her sister-in-law Alice Campbell of Bristolville; her brothers-in-law Robert (Linda) Morrison and Merrill (Eva) Morrison all of Florida; her nieces and nephews Richard, Debbie, Lori, Wesley, Alicia, Eric, Leanne, Mark, Carrie, Justin, Vincent, Stacey and Robert; those that she loved like children Rusty (Martha) Robinson and Sarah (Jerome) Fabian and their children Lydia & Maebree as well as many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wildare United Methodist Church or Southern Care Hospice.
