YOUNGSTOWN - Marion Manchester died November 21, 2018 at Ohio Living Park Vista. She was born May 4, 1928 in Boardman Township a daughter of Charles and Dorothy Chapman Martin. She worked for lawyers Reuben Segall, Ross Dyser and Realtor Earl McBride. She also worked in the accounting office of Sears Roebuck retiring in 1988. She loved to cook and to work in the garden where she canned and froze many vegetables for use in her cooking. She also enjoyed sewing and made many costumes for her children and her family. After retiring she and her husband spent time traveling to all 50 states. She was member of the Canfield Methodist Church where she worked at the churchs bazaar and was teller for the financial secretary. She was a member of Dublin Grange No. 1409 and a member of AARP Chapter 3104 and served as a membership chairman for years. She is survived by her two children Susan (Tom ) of Lordstown and Burt ( Janet) Manchester of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Charlene (Steve) Kather, Christy (Adam) Grund, Thomas Paul (Christine) Helsel, John Helsel, Shari (Andrew) Pierce, Sara (Mike) Pierce, Caryn (Shane) Berger; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Gabe, Elizabeth, Kobi, Liam and Cora and three sisters Edith Kellner, twin sister Marie Dornshuld and Viola Davis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Manchester, whom she married September 10, 1949 and their daughter, Connie Manchester and a great-grandson, Joseph Kather. Friends may call 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Maintenance Fund of Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad Street, Canfield, OH 44406.
