Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14th at Christ Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Rd., Youngstown for Marion Lucille Brown, 87 of Youngstown who went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2017 while in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born October 1, 1929 in Youngstown, daughter of the late Charles and Edna March Jackson and had graduated from The Rayen High School. Marion was an active member of Christ Church Presbyterian where she served on numerous committees including Knit Whits, Gingham Gables and the pumpkin festivals. She enjoyed attending water aerobic classes for decades at the Ursuline Mother House. Marion was in a neighborhood card club for 40 years and T.O.P.S. was also a favorite weekly meeting. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and dear friends. She relished family vacations, led a blessed existence and was joyful about having had a full life. Her husband, Jack Brown, whom she married June 7, 1952, preceded her in death, having shared 56 years together. She is survived by daughter, Karen (Gary) Folkwein of Boardman; sons, Keith (Teresa) Brown of Greensboro, North Carolina, Ken (Pam) Brown of Worthington, OH and Kirk (Susan) Brown of Canfield; nine grandchildren, Lyndsay Folkwein, Josh (Joelle) Folkwein, Jacob Brown, Zach Brown, Brandon Brown, Kathryn Brown, Logan Brown, Julia Brown , Jordan Brown and two great-granddaughters, Eva and Emma Folkwein. Besides her parents and her husband, Marion was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Jackson. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 13 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the funeral at Christ Church Presbyterian. The family would like to give special thanks to Crossroads Hospice, Mahoning Valley Medical, Dr. Traikoff of Prima Health and the caring staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Crossroads Hospice or any of Marion's favorite charities including the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.
