Marjorie E Akins

Marjorie E. Akins, 102, was taken by the Angels to be reunited with her beloved husband, Vernon C. Akins Sr., and her daughter, Carol A. Villio, on December 12th at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown.

Born November 12, 1922, in Warren, Ohio, Marjorie was the daughter of James and Margaret Garghill.

Marjorie was an avid bowler, golfer, and meticulous seamstress. She enjoyed oil and watercolor painting. She was a wonderful loving mom, grandma, and great grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon, and her brothers James and William Garghill.

She leaves behind her son, Vernon C. Akins and his wife Barbara (Brauer) Akins, her daughter Deborah S. Hill and her husband Thomas Hill; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was loved by anyone who knew her and will be truly missed by all.
