Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church for Marjorie Jean Creighton, 77, of Austintown who passed away Friday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Marjorie was born February 27, 1930 in Youngstown the daughter of Robert C. and Margaret Alice (Bell) Creighton and was a life long area resident. She was a graduate of South High School class of 1948 and worked for Union National Bank which later became Chase Bank, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the church for 77 years and was baptized in the original church on Wood Street in Youngstown. Marjorie was involved in several church organizations such as Women of Witness, Kings Kids, and very active in the Christian Women’s Club. She was the treasurer of the Women’s Association and assistant treasurer of the church building fund for the new church when it moved to Austintown in the 60’s. She was also involved in the Ohio Cultural Association. Marjorie leaves two brothers; William Creighton and Richard (Lynette) Creighton both of Florida, and two sisters; Nancy (Charles) Maizel-Schmidt of Canfield, and Ruth Creighton of Austintown as well as several nieces and nephews. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret, and a brother and sister-in-law; Robert J. and Jean Creighton Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and again from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the church.
