Marjorie L. Chizmar, 91, of Austintown passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's hospital with her loving family by her side. Born September 3, 1926 in Berlin Center, she was the daughter of Leroy and Grace (Eckenrode) Hilles. A graduate of Berlin Center High School, Marjorie worked for 35 years for the Austintown school system retiring in 1995. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Survivors include her daughter Joan (Tony) Mills of Columbus, sons, Tom (Nancy) Chizmar of Austintown, and Paul Chizmar of Ellsworth and Michael (Lori) Chizmar of Austintown; two sisters, Bernice Sturgeon of Youngstown, and Bobbi (Don) Grant of Ravenna; 8 grandchildren, Alicia (Matt) Berkemer, Allison (Joey) Deal, Jennifer (Jason) Katz, Ryan (Nicole Ingram) Bender Kristen Mook, Joseph (Ingrit) Chizmar, Michelle (Chris) Carter and Paul Chizmar; 13 great grand children: Kaelyn, Kylie, Ian, Kinsley, Gwyneth, Olivia, Hunter, Quinn, Violet, Cameron, Lilly, Addison, and Jackson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward R. Chizmar who died on December 22, 2000, and her siblings; Viola Clark, Burton Hilles, Dick Hilles, Ruth Stroup and Carole Chambers. Friends will be received on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 10:30AM to 12:30PM, at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel prior to the service which will begin at 12:30PM. Burial will take place at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Sister Dolly and the staff at Antonine Village for their compassionate care and concern for Marjorie.
