Hermitage Marjorie L. Peters, 89, passed away Friday morning, June 2, 2017 at Nugent's A Continuing Retirement Community in Hermitage, PA. Marjorie was born March 13, 1928 in Sharon, PA, a daughter of the late Oliver and Lucile (Sloth) Kirkland. She was a graduate of Hickory High School and a member of St. Stanislaus Church. She was a proud homemaker and an Avon Representative. She was in the Presidents Club of Avon, enjoyed gardening flowers, sewing, golfing, and an avid bowler. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Valli M. Flesher, Pamela A. Stroupe, and Cindy J. Mele; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Peters whom she married on August 23, 1948 and passed away on September 4, 1993; and three sisters.
