Martha Ramsey

There will be a funeral service 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel for Martha Ramsey of Strongsville, a lifelong resident of Niles, who passed away Thursday at SW General Hospital in Middleburg Heights. Martha was born August 15, 1922 in Czechoslovakia a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Ondo) Hujdis. Martha was a 1940 graduate of Warren Harding High School. She had worked at Griswold Department Store, and later retired in 1969 from the Tribune Chronicle after working for 15 years in the Classified Ad Department. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and reading. Her husband Charles W. Ramsey, whom she married December 25, 1941, passed away August 13, 1993. She is survived by two sons: David L. (Jean) Ramsey of Howland, and Kenneth C. (Kathleen) Ramsey of Brunswick; one brother Michael Hudis of Marietta, GA; five granddaughters and four great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice, in Martha's name. Friends may call form 12 PM until 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel.
