Mary Ann Strauss

NORTH LIMA-There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Our Savior Parish-Holy Trinity Church in Struthers for Mary Ann Strauss, 83, who died Monday July 31st at Assumption Village. Mary Ann was born May 7, 1934 in Struthers, a daughter of Michael and Veronica Tkach Sabol. She was a 1952 graduate of Struthers High School. Mary Ann was a home-maker. She was a member of the church. She was also a member and the secretary for many years of the Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Union. Mary Ann was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ann's husband Edward, whom she married June 9, 1956, died April 19, 2017. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Kathleen (Dan) Dowler of Columbus, Sue (Elio) Andreatta of Boardman, Eric (Nicole) Strauss of Baltimore, MD and Michele (Scott) Shaffer of Columbus; her brother, George (Pat) Sabol of Struthers; her sister, Dolly (Bill) Ulicny of Struthers; her grandchildren, Lia, Sara, Rina, Macy, Edie and Jack and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Mike Sabol, John Sabol, Margaret Locicero, Irene Boris, Joe Sabol and Jim Sabol. Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the Mass at the church.
