Mary Jo Phillips

Boardman - Mary Jo Phillips, 73, passed away Wednesday January 13, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boardman. 

Mary Jo was born on January 6, 1952, in Warren, OH a daughter of the late Donald and Charolotte (Hopkins) Phillips.

She was a 1970 graduate of Lakeview High School and continued her education at Trumbull Business College. 

She enjoyed taking long car rides and traveling to new areas. She was always known to put others before herself and loved taking care of her son. In her free time, she enjoyed watching videos on YouTube.

Mary Jo will be deeply missed by her loving son, David Phillips; sisters, Susan (Tony) Sampedro and Debbie (Mike) Smith; brothers, Larry (Dona) Phillips, Steve (Lisa) Phillips, and Tim Phillips; niece, Lora (Ken) Dobay; nephew, Shawn (Chris) Smith; and many cousins. 

Per Mary Jo’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted with Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
