Mary L. Wingard

Mary L. Wingard, 81 of Howland Township, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Hospice House in Youngstown. She was born June 23, 1937 in Howland the daughter of the late Joseph Raymond and Mary Ann Miller Lambing. She had been a lifetime Howland resident. Mary Margaret was a 1955 graduate of Howland High School. After high school, she began working for Packard Electric, where she worked for 37 years, retirng in 1993 from the hummingbird wiring molds division in plant No. 11. Mary Margaret was of the Catholic faith. She was considered a "second mother" to her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking her Sunday spaghetti dinners every Sunday for the family. Mary Margaret had volunteered in the past with the Howland Little Tigers and in the concession stand with the Howland Athletic Club baseball boosters and was a member of the TriCounty 4 Wheelers Club. Surviving are two daughters, Robin S. (Shane) Mintern of Howland and Jendi R. (Bob) Elko of Rolesville,NC; two sons, Henry R. Wingard and John A. Wingard both of Howland; seven grandchildren, Shauna E. (Ken) Dorwarth, Shayna I. Mann, Kaycee L. (fiance,Nathan Brothag) Mintern, Jordyn L. (fiance, Brandon Harcarik) Pregibon, Skyler S. Mintern, Anthony John "A.J." Reardon and Bill (Amanda) Wilkes; ten great grandchildren with one great granddaughter on the way and one brother, Albert L. "Shorty" (JoAnne) Lambing of Niles. Her husband of 41 years, John Ray Wingard, whom she married June 8, 1963 preceded her in death in 2004. One daughter, Mary Ann died in infancy; one stepdaughter, Molly L. Wilkes and two brothers, Raymond L. and Joseph Lambing have also preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. James Reardon will officiate. Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland,OH 44514.
