Mary Labosky

services will be 10 am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating for Mary Labosky who died Sunday morning at Brairfield at the Ridge. Mary was born October 3, 1920 in Byesville, Ohio the daughter of Eli and Mary Hromicko Labosky. Mary was employed at Packard Electric for 32 years serving as office supply manager retiring in 1980. She was a 1941 graduate of Steubenville High School. Mary was involved with the Civil Defense Corp, promoted to Lieutenant in 1956 and served 15 years as a auxiliary member. Mary was an avid gardener, enjoyed crafts and sewing as well as fishing, She also enjoyed corresponding with international and national pen pals. Mary loved animals of any kind, finding good homes for many strays over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vera Taneri and brothers; John Labosky and Eli Romick. She is survived by nieces; Mary Kay (Tom) Aufrance, Vickie Labosky, Nephews; John (Kay) Labosky and their children Alex and Julie, Michael Romick, Thomas (Diane) Romick, James (Liz) Romick, Nick (Ginna) Labosky and their children Nicholas and Katherine and Rex (Jeannette) Taneri. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
