Mary E. Layton

Mary E. Layton, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

She was born September 22, 1928 in Girard, the daughter of Frank R. Park and Mary E. Griffin Park.

Mary graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1947.  Her husband, Richard R. Layton, whom she married on September 24, 1955, died on October 11, 1987.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (John) Greenfield of Niles with whom she made her home, son Richard (Kathy) Layton of Dover, OH; three grandchildren, Megan (Brett) Bunker of Howland, Scott Greenfield of Howland, and Heather Layton of Bolivar, OH; and one great-grandson, Flynn Bunker.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Richard; and her brother, Earl, of Tyler, Tx.

Per Mary’s wishes, private services were held for the family and burial was held at Crown Hill Burial Park.
