Mary Marie Parks

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 1:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Mary Marie Parks of Briarfield Manor Nursing Home and formerly of Berlin Center who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Warren on Thursday morning. Mrs. Parks was born January 23, 1911 in Berlin Center the daughter of Frank and Emma (Cline) Newell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lake Milton Baptist Temple. Mary leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eileen and her husband Gerald Gibbs of Berlin Center. She also leaves three grandchildren: Richard (Jo Beth) and James (Debbie) Gibbs, and Shirley (Bill) Plant as well as two great-grandchildren: Courtney and Seth Gibbs. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lee Parks whom she married August 1, 1933 and passed away March 28, 1985. She was also predeceased by two brothers: Elgie and Forrest Newell as well as two sisters: Irene Keslar and Pearl Smith and a daughter in infancy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Milton Baptist temple Mission Fund. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12 –1 PM, one hour prior to the services.
