Mary Rose Gilbert

Private funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Mary Rose Gilbert of 3379 State Rt. 46, Mineral Ridge, formerly of Niles and Girard, who died Tuesday morning at Glen View Manor. Mary was born Dec. 13, 1916 in Niles, OH. A daughter of John and Mary (Markovitch) Lepo. She was a homemaker and loved reading, cooking, her family, and traveling. She is survived by her children, William Baer and Norma (Alec) Hudak of Girard; her stepdaughters Jerry Lane of Mineral Ridge, Carol Thompson of Hubbard, and Martha Newhart of California; and 15 grandchildren, 27 gr. grandchldren, and numerous great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Clyde W. Baer and her second husband James W. “Doc” Gilbert whom she married 1943, died Nov. 16, 1980; she is also preceded in death by her stepdaughter Jean Law; and a brother Michael Lepo. There are no calling hours.
