A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Wednesday at 10 am in St Maron Church for Mary Virginia "Donna" Gabel, 83 of Poland formerly of Austintown and Canfield, who passed away Saturday morning at the Woodlands at Hampton Woods. Donna, as she was commonly known as, was born March 12, 1929 in Youngstown the daughter of Milad and Anna Zacharia. She retired as an inspector with Packard Electric after more than 30 years of service. Donna was a member of St. Maron Church and served as a facilitator of the prayer list group as well as volunteering her time and love serving others during bingo and fish fry's. She also served her church by visiting members who were unable to attend services. Donna was also a member of the Delphi Retirees and its breakfast group and she loved attending the Monday Musicals at Powers Auditorium. Donna leaves three loving daughters, Debbie (David) Burgner of Chicago, Karen Amon of Poland, and Donna Marie (Sam) Boak of Canfield, six grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, Chris, Jake, Mara and her husband Carmen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by four sisters, Yasmin, Adele, Helen, Agnes, and one brother, Joseph "Zack". Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm, and again from 9 to 10 am Wednesday at the church where mass will begin at 10 am. The family would like to thank the staff at the Woodlands at Hampton Woods for the amazing care, love and support given to Donna and her family during her stay there. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Maron Church in Donnas' name.
