Megan Jo Williams, 47, of Columbiana passed away Sunday afternoon, April 282024 at the Hospice House of Poland. She was born September 20, 1976, the beloved daughter of Rick R. and Janet L (Newell) Williams and lived most of her life in this area. 

She graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1994 and pursued her education at Bowling Green State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Therapy. Megan received a Master’s Degree from Southwestern University, Santa Fe, New Mexico in Art Therapy and Counseling. As a counselor and case manager she spent several years helping people suffering from drug addiction, homelessness and mental health issues.

 Throughout her life, nature conservation was important to her and she enjoyed working and volunteering at parks to help protect the environment. She enjoyed walking and working in the yard. Megan looked forward to spending time outdoors as nature was truly her spiritual refuge. She had volunteered for Angels for Animals. 

 She will be dearly missed by her parents; her sister, Kimberly Williams of Rogers; grandmother, Jean Conrad of New Springfield and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Megan also leaves her beloved cats, Oona and Griffin. She was preceded in death by  her grandparents, Ralph and Dorothy Newell and Harry Williams. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield 44406.
