Merle "Tom" Collins

Merle “Tom” Collins, 64 of Niles, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 31st, 2024. He was born on May 14th, 1960 in Warren, Ohio to the late Merle W. Collins and Beverly (Knowlton) Collins. Tom was the owner of Tom’s Lawncare, which he owned and operated since 1995. He married the love of his life Martie (Fellows) Collins on August 25th 1979 whom he spent 48 years with. Tom had many interests, such as fishing, traveling, camping, and going out on his boat with his family and friends. He was a family man through and though, with his number one passion in life being his family. 

Tom leaves behind to carry on his memory, his children; Mike Collins of Niles, Ohio, Amanda (Chris) Glunt of Mineral Ridge, and Sam Collins of Warren, Ohio. His grandchildren; Krista Collins, Briana Glunt, LeAnn Thibeault, Noah Collins, Michael Collins, Christopher Glunt and a great grandson, Bryson Collins.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tom “TJ” Collins; and a sister, Debra Benchia. 

Everyone will remember him by his laugh and infectious smile, which he was known for. He was known for his personality, humor, tenacity, love and generosity. He was there to help others and would do anything for someone in their time of need. It is with a great sorrow we say goodbye to our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend. 

Friends and family may call from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, November 7th, 2024 with a service to follow at the Lane Mineral Ridge Chapel at 1350 N Canfield Niles Rd, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440.
