Mildred I. "Mid" Scott

Mildred “Mid” Scott, 88, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House, surrounded by her family, on February 29^th, 2024. She was born in Dime, PA, a daughter to the late Wallace and Mary (Gibson) Heckman. Mid was a loving wife to the late William R. Scott Sr., whom she spent many years with until his passing and a devoted mother and homemaker to her children.

Mid enjoyed many interests such as bingo, playing cards with her family, a country music lover and loved her pets deeply. She was a grandma, great grandma, and a great-great grandma to 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Patricia (Ralph) Woodly, Mary Alberta Scott, David L. Scott, William R. Scott Jr., and Roger Scott; and her siblings, Darlene Schearer and Ann Busshaus. 

Mid is preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Scott, a daughter, Linda Sue Burkholder, her beloved husband, her parents, and her sister Betty Shutt. 

Friends and family may call from 10 AM to 12 PM on Friday, March 8^th, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44515, with a service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Brunstetter Cemetery.
