Mitzi D'Alesio

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel of Mitzi D'Alesio, 69, of Canfield Township. Mitzi passed away Sunday September 3, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born August 9, 1948 in Youngstown the daughter of the late Martin and Joanne (Scharsu) Schinker. Mitzi was a graduate of Chaney High School class of 1966, and worked in the assembly plant for General Motors Lordstown, retiring in 2002. Mitzi was a member of the UAW #1112, and was a member of the Eastern Starr. Mitzi was very active with Angels for Animals and devoted much of her time to the care and support for the cause. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren attending all of their events. Mitzi leaves her husband Pete D'Alesio, whom she married February 6, 1996, her daughters, Lacey (Jim) Maass of Canfield, and Amber (Byron) Greenwell of Akron, and five grandchildren, Cameron Dombrowski, Savannah, Camille, and Jimmy Maass, and Johnathan Tumbri, as well as many friends. Besides her parents, Mitzi was preceded in death by a son, Seth Tumbri, and one brother Martin Schinker. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd. Canfield, Ohio 44406 in Mitzi's name.
