Nancy L. Friend

Nancy L. Friend, 76, passed away Wednesday morning November 27, 2024 at Cortland Healthcare Center following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. 

 Nancy was born on May 19, 1948 in Warren, OH a daughter of the late Clay and Evelyn Gregory. 

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and retired from Packard Electric/Delphi.

She enjoyed crafting, antiquing, garage sales and traveling with her husband to Maine and going on cruises.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Gary Friend, whom she married on September 7, 1985; children, Kim (John) Vogt and Justin (Amanda) Friend; grandchildren, Austin Vogt and Hunter Friend; brothers, James (Patty) Gregory and Terry Gregory; and grand fur babies, Buckeye, Daisy, and Lola. 

Family and friends may visit from 10-11:30AM on Saturday November 30, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel, located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland. Funeral services will follow at 11:30AM. 

A private burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta Township.
