Nancy Jean Lippiatt, 78, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 13th, at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana.
Nancy was born October 6, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio and was the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve (Johnston) Miller.
Nancy graduated from college in 1966 and then married her husband, Roger Lippiatt. They were together for 57 wonderful years until Roger’s passing in January 2024.
Nancy was a teacher for Canfield Local Schools and once she retired, she owned and operated “Son” Shine Tours Inc traveling agency.
She loved her church, East Goshen Friends Church. She also loved her precious dog, Scruffy.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, brothers Edwin and Harry Miller and niece Jo Miller.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her cousin Paul (Nancy) Hendricks and his son Bill (Sara) Hendricks, daughters Paula (Bill) Richards, Dana Hendricks (Colt Koellner), as well as Nancy’s sisters-in-law Debra Douty and Patty Lippiatt. She also leaves her nieces and nephews: Kristin Douty, Dr. Richard Miller, Dan Miller, Randy Miller, Terry Kirkup, Janet Sevacko, Amanda Holliman, Eric Miller, Christine Laney.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am. Saturday August 24, 2024 at East Goshen Friends Church in Beloit followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall.
The family would like to thank Nancy’s caretakers for the kindness and compassion they showed her through her illness.
