Nellie M. Terlecky, 99 Nellie M. Terlecky, 99 passed away early Friday morning at Assumption Village. Nellie was born January 27, 1918 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Edgar J. and Elizabeth (Angelaitis) Blackburn and came to this area as a child. She was a homemaker and had worked as a finisher for Ohio Leather many years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies' Guild. Nellie was also a member of the Goldenagers where she had served as president in 1987 and God's Footprints. Throughout her lifetime, Nellie was involved in crafts and caligraphy. She was a known accomplished baker, making and decorating wedding cakes and novelty cakes. She had received special written thank you's from the brides . Nellie had some of her recipes featured in the Vindicator on December 17, 1987 in the "Good Cook" column. She was a mentor and confidant to her family and friends, living by example and will be greatly missed. Her husband, Michael whom she married September 17, 1938, died June 1, 1998. She leaves two daughters, Janet E. Freisen of Mineral Ridge, Joan E. Krispli of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Amy and Holly and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, Nellie was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Murdock, Ann Crain and two brothers, Ted Blackburn and Don Blackburn. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m.on Thursday at St Joseph Church, 4545 New Rd., Austintown.
