Nicole Marie Bakos

 Nicole Marie Bakos, 32, passed away unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center on November 12th, 2024. She was born on December 10th, 1991 to the late Timothy Bakos and Rebecca “Becky” (Measmer) Bakos in Youngstown, Ohio. Nicole was a 2010 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School where she was a proud member of the band, a member of the National Honor Society and even went on to earn a black belt in karate. After graduation, she went on to attend YSU where she earned her bachelor's degree in Biology, as well as a degree as a veterinary technician. Nicole was employed as a medical laboratory scientist at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center which she took great pride in and loved working. 

Nicole had many interests such as a love of books, music, Disney, and Harry Potter, proving that she was a big kid at heart, but her favorite thing was being “Aunt Cole” to her nieces and nephews and carried a love for her dogs, Thor and Icy. 

Nicole leaves behind to carry on her memory, her mother, her siblings; William (Adeline) Bakos and Alan (Christina) Bakos, as well as her nieces and nephews; George Bakos, Emmet Bakos, Victoria Bakos, Alan Bakos Jr., Elizabeth Bakos, and Zak Bakos. 

Nicole is preceded in death by her father, as well as her grandparents.

Calling hours will be held Thursday November 21st, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at Lane Funeral Home in Austintown, Ohio with a service to follow on Friday November 22nd at Zion Lutheran Church at 11am.
