Nicole L. Tieche

Nicole L. "Nicky/Nick" (Scardina) Tieche, age 40, of Boardman, passed away unexpectedly after a courageous battle with mental illness. Born May 26, 1978 in Youngstown; she was the daughter of Samuel P. and Deborah L (Heames) Scardina, Jr. Nicky was a 1996 graduate of Austintown-Fitch High School; she attended YSU where she earned an EMT certification. She worked for Eye Care Associates in Youngstown, and had formerly been employed for Mercy Health, as well as for Canfield Police and Fire Departments as a dispatcher for 16 years. She was an avid Cleveland sports team fan and loved watching horse races. She loved watching Jeopardy every day with her family and DVRd it each day. Besides her parents, survivors include her children: Robert John Tieche III and Anna Louise Tieche; fiancee Michael Goterba; sister, Suzanne (Mike) Rudisell and twin-sister Samantha Scardina; nieces, Taylor and Sydney Rudisell, and nephew Luke Manchester; step-father, Eliud Cruz; step-brothers, Elliot and Mark Cruz; aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and especially Uncle Moe and Aunt Chris. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Tuesday from 4-7PM. Private services and burial will take place for the family. Memorials contributions may be made for the benefit of her children in care of the family.
