Norma Jean Taiclet

Norma Jean Taiclet, 75, passed away Tuesday morning, December 3, 2024 at Shepherd of the Valley in Liberty. 

Norma was born on July 26, 1949 in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Bell) Sunderman Sr. 

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and continued her education becoming an LPN from Hannah E Mulin School of Nursing in Salem. She worked in California for a year before moving back home to work in the Pediatric Department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was an active member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland where she sang in the choir and helped with outreach. She was always working whether to provide for her family or be the best mom to her children. She was always supporting her children in their sporting events. She loved walking, kayaking, camping, and collecting snowmen. She also loved to spend time with and spoil her grandchildren. 

Norma will be deeply missed by her children, Julie Taiclet of Austintown, Kristan (Matthew) Muse of Howland, Tracy (Ignacio) Taiclet de Montagna of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Michael Taiclet of Howland; grandsons, Nicolas Montagna, Isaac and Liam Muse; and sister in law Dorothy Sunderman. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warner Taiclet, whom she married on December 18, 1976 and who passed away in 2022; grandson Mason Muse; sister, Janet Fleet; and brothers, Charles Sunderman Jr. and Paul Sunderman.

Family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 11:30am on Wednesday, December 11 at Living Lord Lutheran Church located at 851 Niles-Cortland Rd NE in Howland. Funeral services will follow at 11:30AM. 

Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
