Olga (Chapley) Morrison, 92, of Austintown, OH entered the Heavenly Kingdom on July 9, 2009. She is now united in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Jack P., who preceded her in death in 1976. They were married February 27, 1937 in Warren, OH. Devoted mother of son Jack (Bonnie) Morrison of Aiken, GA and daughter Judith (Kenneth) Pew of Strongsville, OH. Proud and loving grandmother of six, Deirdre (Mike) McCusker of Glendale, CA, Meighan Morrison of Easton, CT, Courtney (Shannon) Harrison of Eatonton, GA, Jeffrey (Dr. Lisa) Pew of Lake Oswego, OR, Todd (Julia) Pew of North Kingsville, OH, and Cristyn (Todd) Kocsis of Gibsonburg, OH. Adoring great grandmother of 13, the shining lights of her life, Benjamin Carmichael, Olivia Cochran, Helena McCusker, Hunter Dent, Hailey Dent, Skylar Harrison, Hunter Harrison, Madelyn Stewart, Kenneth Pew, Carter Pew, Tyler Pew, Emily Pew, and Coral Kocsis. She leaves a sister Vera Fletcher of Medina, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Olga Bylo Chapley, and three brothers, Theodore, Walter, and George. She will remain a cherished friend of all who are blessed to have known her and will be forever dearly loved by her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins whose lives have been enriched by her presence. Born July 8, 1917 in Monessen, Pennsylvania, she was a 1935 graduate of Warren Harding High School. She was a member of Austintown Community Church since 1952, having served as a Deacon, Elder, Secretary of the Fellowship Class, and Treasurer of the Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Friendship Circle and the Joyous Believers Bible Study Group. She was employed as Cafeteria Manager at Lloyd Elementary School for nine years and Clerk Treasurer at Fitch High School for 11 years. She volunteered as a Visiting Secretary in Pastoral Care for the Organization of Protestant Men since 1984, visiting patients at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital and Southside and Northside Medical Centers. She was recently honored for volunteering over 20, 000 hours during the last 25 years. She was a member of the Friends of the Austintown Library, Friends of the Youngstown Historical Center of Labor and Industry, Ohio Cultural Alliance and the Meander, Ida McKinley Niles, and Miriam Chapters of Eastern Star. She was Secretary of the Austintown Garden Club for 10 years, a Telephone Caller for the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 10 years, and a Mahoning County Board of Elections Poll Worker for more years than she could remember. At the time of her untimely passing, she was still an active and avid golfer and bowler, belonging to leagues at Meander and High Grove Golf Courses and the Thursday Trio at West Side Lanes. She was a well-informed, enthusiastic follower of all types of sports. Calling hours Sunday 3 to 7 PM at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and Monday 10 to 11 AM at Austintown Community Church, 242 South Canfield-Niles Road. Services 11 AM Monday at the church. Interment at Green Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Olga had expressed a charity preference for the Youngstown State University Rich Center for Autism, 606 Wick Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44555 or Austintown Community Church.
