Olin E. Harkleroad

Olin E. Harkleroad, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his residence North Jackson. Olin was born February 22, 1939 in Youngstown, the son of Otis E. and Hazel (Summers) Harkleroad. Prior to retirement, Olin worked for General Motors for 32 years. He was one of their first hires. Olin was a Trustee for North Jackson from 2006-2017. He was a member of Knights of Pythias and North Jackson Citizens Association. He is survived by his wife Grace (Schneider) Harkleroad, whom he married September 10, 1960; his sons Bruce (Denise) of Lake Milton and Brian of Deerfield; his brother Edwin (Charlotte) of Leetonia; his granddaughter Shannon (Matt) Rood of Hubbard; great grandchildren Aston and Daisy Rood; his sister-in-law Sarah (Jack) Miller of Berlin Center; his dog Charles who was always by his side; and his close friend Gary Dezee. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Leslie and Dwayne Harkleroad. A private funeral service was held and burial has taken place.
