Oscar Poindexter

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Oscar Poindexter who passed away Thursday at his residence. Mr. Poindexter was born December 14, 1936 in East Lynn, W.Va. a son of Oscar and Georgia (Hale) Poindexter Sr. He worked in Laundry Service for St Elizabeth Medical Center for 21 years retiring in 1997 he was of the Baptist Faith, and an Army Veteran from 1960-1962. He is survived by his children; Kathleen Parker of Columbus, OH, Randall Lee Poindexter of New Port Richey, FL, Teresa Lynn Chapman of Florida; one sister Dorothy Meade of Florida; and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Walter Griffin. Friends may call from 4-7 PM Sunday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
