There will be Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ohltown United Methodist Church for Pamela R. Flory, 74, who passed away Sunday evening at Hospice House in Poland. Pamela was born February 27, 1943 in Youngstown, a daughter of George and Virginia Gething Price. She was a teacher with the Warren City Schools for 28 years, retiring in 2008. She received the Golden Apple Award from the State of Ohio and numerous other awards for creative teaching from Warren City. Pam attended Austintown Fitch High School and received her bachelors and masters degree from Y.S.U., graduating Summa Cum Laude. Pam attended Ohltown United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She taught Sunday School for more than 25 years and served on numerous leadership positions in the church including a member of the Finance Council, the Pastoral Parish Council and a Delegate for the Annual Retreat at Lakeside. Pam was a member of the Retired Teachers of Ohio, a card club, TNT, the Red Hats and the ABWA. She also was "designated driver" to her late friend, Dorothy Wiseman, taking her to Red Hats, TNT and ABWA. They also enjoyed attending almost every home field Scrappers baseball games together. Pam's husband, Jack D. Flory, whom she married Dec. 27, 1959, died April 20, 2000. Pam is survived by her daughter, Tami (David) Regule of North Lima; her son Jeffrey Flory of Mineral Ridge; her brother, Randall (Donna) Price of Burghill; her sisters, Cheryl Price of Medina, Candace (Mark) Hamlin of Charlotte, N.C., Valerie Oakley of Medina and Lori (Lee) Lawrence of Boardman. She was adored and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren whom she referred to as her "angels", Jacob, Maya, Luca and Ava Regule and Jack (Cheyanne) Flory and James Flory and her gr. grandchildren, Lillian and Isabelle. Besides her parents and husband, Pam was preceded in death by her infant sister, Barbara Gail Price. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel.
