Patricia L. (Bushman) Hale, an 89-year-old resident of Youngstown, Ohio, gracefully passed away on May 15th, 2023. Believing it was time to receive her golden angel wings and ascend to the heavens, she answered God's call. With her passing, Pat now thrives eternally, possessing awareness and the ability to walk, talk, smile, hear, laugh, and indulge in her passion for creating flower arrangements and gardening. She soars with well-deserved golden wings, perpetually finding happiness in God's celestial abode.
In a joyous reunion, she joins her beloved husband, Charles Hale, DVM, her true and only love, and together they take flight for eternity.
Pat's professional journey encompassed a diverse range of experiences. After graduating from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in 1953, she served as a Registered Nurse, specializing in surgery at Northside Hospital and University Hospital in Columbus. However, she later left her practice to raise her children. Upon re-entering the professional realm, she worked for the Volunteer Service to Seniors in Youngstown and served as the HR Director for Winner Aviation Corporation until her retirement in 2007.
For over four decades, Pat actively and dearly contributed to many area organizations including being a member of the Mahoning Garden and Sweetbriar Garden Clubs, Millcreek Park Fellowship Gardens as a volunteer, Youngstown Garden Forum as it’s Member and later President, Youngstown Area Arts Council and Visiting Nurses Association as a Board Member and the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown as an Elder and Deacon, all of where she shared her love for nature, her faith and community. Because of these efforts Patricia was voted one of the 1984 YMCA Women of the Year.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Sweetbriar Garden Club or The Visiting Nurses Association of the Greater Youngstown.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and recognition to Shepherd of the Valley - Liberty for the exceptional care and support provided to Patricia and to the family.
