Patrick F D'Agostino

Dr. Patrick F. D'Agostino, 85 There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10th at St. Michael Church for Patrick F. D'Agostino, 85 of Canfield who died Saturday evening. Pat was born July 22, 1931 in Youngstown, the son of the late Frank and Grace (Pagano) D'Agostino. He graduated from East High School where he was an All-Ohio Valley football team member. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Heidelberg University, where he also played football. Pat was drafted into the Army during the Korean War, where he worked in the Dental Corps. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from The Ohio State University in 1960. Pat practiced dentistry in Cornersburg for 43 years. He was a member of St. Michael Church, the Canfield Lions Club and Austintown Kiwanis. Pat was an avid Ohio State football fan and handball player. He also enjoyed carpentry and gardening. He leaves his wife, the former Carolyn Sue McGowan, whom he married June 13, 1959; three daughters, Sue (James) Balistreri of Cincinnati, Lisa D'Agostino of Lakewood, Ohio, Lynne (Ken) Moran of Leawood, Kansas; three sons, Patrick (Lori) D'Agostino of Berea, Ohio, John (Kathy) D'Agostino of Mason, Ohio and Dan (Jackie) D'Agostino of Amelia, Ohio. Pat also leaves his 12 grandchildren; Patrick, Samantha, Jason & Kelly D'Agostino; Lanie, Jack and Carly Moran; Nick, Anna and Nate D'Agostino; and Anne and David D'Agostino. He also leaves two sisters, Ann Orsinelli of Boardman and Angela Behan of Fort Mill, South Carolina. Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah (D'Agostino) Turner. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel.
