Paul Michael Katona, Jr.

Paul M. Katona, Jr., age 86, of Southington passed away at his home on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024. He was a 1955 graduate of W.G. Harding High School. He worked at Robins, Daniel, and Ohio Theaters for four years as assistant manager, also working for Sears & Roebuck, then went to work at Republic Steel for 41 years and retired in 2000.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and gardening, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul M. Katona, Sr. and Elizabeth Cecilia (Hildack) Katona; brother, William Katona, sister, Marie Chasser, and 2 grandsons Christopher and Cody Katona.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 67years Louise Katona; children, Paul M. (Elizabeth) Katona, III, Judith L. (Jeffrey) Derr, and Sharon L. Dodrill; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth Lucas.

The family will have a celebration of life in the spring of 2025 at the family’s home. The family is in the care of Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
