Mrs. Pearl L. Dixon, 87, of Campbell, died early Friday morning, December 20th, surrounded by her family, at her residence .
She was born May 8, 1937 in Woodland, PA, a daughter of Daniel and Odessa (Graffius) Fry.
Pearl attended Bellfonte High School and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.
She married William P. Dixon on September 6, 1960. They shared 64 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.
Pearl was a member of the former Wickliffe Church of the Nazarene in Austintown. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whom she dearly loved. Pearl was a kind, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband, Pearl is survived by five children; Brenda Wagner, of Struthers, Connie (Frank Kovach) Dixon, of Austintown, Karen (Michael) Adair, of Sandusky, William, Jr. (Jodi) Dixon, of Youngstown, and June (Samuel Feldman) Dixon, of Liberty. She also leaves behind three siblings; Elmer (Cathy) Fry, of Huntington County, PA, June Hall, of Woodland, PA, and Larry (Margaret) Maines, of Florida; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Burton and Donald Fry; and three sisters; Mildred Fry, Mabel Dolan, and Barbara McCool.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 27th at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield, with Pastor Joel Theis officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Canfield.
