Peggy Jo Webb

Cortland – Peggy Jo Webb, 68, passed away Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024 surrounded by her family at Hospice House in Poland. 

Peggy Was born October 4, 1955 in Warren, OH a daughter of the late John and Margerie (Sheffler) Whitney. 

Raised in Niles, OH, she was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She continued her education at Kent State Trumbull where she received her associate’s degree in business administration. She worked as a bank teller, a nanny for a family in Cortland, and a librarian at the Warren and Cortland Libraries. 

She was a member of St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church in Cortland. She had a love for animals, gardening, and reading. Most of all was family oriented. She loved being with her family; especially her three grandchildren. 

 Peggy will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Paul C. Webb, whom she married on August 20, 1977; children, Lauren (Seneca) Webb, Brandon Webb, and Megan (Randy) Blakeman; grandchildren, Sophia, Korbin, and Everett; and her brother-in-law Joe DeToto. 

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carl and Thelma Sheffler; and sister Margie DeToto. 

A private service will be held at a later date and internment will take place at Niles City Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley Hospice House or the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League.
