Peter Fabian

Peter Fabian, 92 Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Four Mile Run Christian Church for Peter Fabian, 92 of Girard who died Saturday, November 24th at his residence. Peter was born December 7, 1925 in Vodjinci, Croatia, a son of the late Alois and Anna (Birt) Fabian and came to Girard in 1956 from Croatia. He had been a tailor for the Charles Shop in Girard and the Silver Vogue Shop in downtown Youngstown for many years before retiring in 1991. Peter was a member of the Four Mile Christian Church where he had served as a deacon and on the Mission committee. He. served in the German Army during World War II and was a member of the R/C Short Circuit model airplane club. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. His wife, the former Mary Jean Kunkle, whom he married October 1964, died December 15, 2005. He leaves his son Peter M. Fabian and wife Lori of Liberty Twp. ; his daughter, Marjorie Fabian of Champion; three grandchildren, Debra, Ashley and Matthew and a sister, Maria Hellich of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Besides his parents, Peter was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Fabian. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
