Phyllis Ann Macpherson

Mineral Ridge- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Phyllis Ann MacPherson of Glenview Manor who passed away at the nursing home on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. MacPherson was born April 27, 1918 in Youngstown the daughter of Jospeh Albert and Margaret (Rochford) Marsh. A devoted family woman and housewife, Phyllis was an elevator operator at Strouss Hirshburg where she met her husband. She was a member of several women’s card clubs. Mrs. MacPherson leaves three children: Her caregiver H. William MacPherson of Youngstown, Beverly J. Galla of Poland, and Dr. Douglas S. MacPherson of Weirton, WVA. She also leaves a sister Margaret Karabin of Youngstown, and ten grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Herbert W. MacPherson, the president of Musician’s Union Local #86 whom she married January 22, 1939 and passed away on September 17, 1986. She was also preceded in death by a son Roger in July of 1966.
