Ralph D. Eckman

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Ralph D. Eckman of 1185 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown who passed away Friday afternoon at North Side Hospital. Ralph was born Oct. 12, 1937 in Youngstown, OH. A son of Ralph D. and Mary Eckman, Sr. He had retired five years ago from Nick Strimbu Trucking in Brookfield where he was a truck driver for twenty-five years. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Carol Bell Eckman whom he married July 26, 1980; five children Jeff (Mary) Kester, Bob Kester, Cheryl (Nicholas) Mshar, Kenneth (Nancy) Kester, and Myrna (Alan) Peachock all of Youngstown; a brother-in-law Steve (Ramona) Uhrin of Campbell; 9 grandchildren and 5 gr. grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents and brother-in-law Wendell Bell. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
