Randall R. Vinion, 73, of Youngstown, died Monday, March 25th,at his home, surrounded by his family. Randy was born August 22,1950, to the late David and Pearl Vinion. He graduated from The Rayen High School in 1968, where he played football. After high school, he joined the Army, where he proudly served for 20 years, and retired in 1988. He went on to be an ambulate driver for Gold Cross, and a fleet mechanic for Rural Metro.
Randy enjoyed bowling, golf, and watching the The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals play football. Randy also was an animal lover, rescuing many dogs through out the years, his last was Sadie. Randy leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Karen ( Morris), and his 3 children, Kurt Vinion (Dorota) residing in Prague Cz, Catherine (Shawn) Simmons of Cortland, and James (Nicole) of Campball, as well as 7 beautiful grandchildren; Antonio Dellimuti (Talia), Alicia Vinion, Julian Vinion, Krystalin Vinion, Selina Harvischak (Lucas) Kayla Gavlek and Alyssa Gavlek, and 4 adorable great grandchildren; Santino Dellimuti, Vincenzo Dellimuti, Nunzio Dellimuti and Samantha Harvischak. Randy also leaves behind his brother Sam Vinion of Florida, and his brother Bill Vinion of Virginia.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Ronald, Richard, Yvonne, and Pearl. Randy was loved very much by his family and he reciprocated this love. Randy will forever leave a hole in our hearts but we know we will see him again.
