Randy Henson

Randy Henson, 70, passed away Friday evening, November 10, 2023 at his home in Kinsman.

Randy was born on September 13, 1953 in Griffin, GA a son of the late Reno and Jackie Henson.

He received a Law Degree from John Marshall Law School in Georgia. He worked at General Motors in Lordstown as a Superintendent of the Paint Department, where he met his wife, Donna and got married November 26, 2002. He enjoyed repairing and restoring antique furniture, collecting antiques and antique toys, cooking southern dishes, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a friend to everyone that knew him and would help anyone in need. He loved being with his pets, Cookie, Lorna Doon, Abigail, and Willow; but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Randy will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend, Donna Henson; children, Ty and Trent Henson of Arlington, TX, Joy (Derrick) of Cortland, Bob (Lisa) of Champion, and Jim (Tonia) of Wellington; grandchildren, Maria (Brad) of Columbus, Kim (Patrick) of Wellington, Derek (Ivy) Boardman, Courtney (Mike) of Champion, Krista of Wellington, Angelica of Akron, and Katelin of Wellington; four great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Henson of Milner, GA; sister, Jackie Ann (David) Bell of Griffin, GA; sisters-in-law, Ellen of Austintown, Helen of Wellington, and Sara (Joe) of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Barbara Henson.

Family and friends may visit from 1-3:00PM on Saturday November 25, 2023 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer -Winans Chapel located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland. A memorial service will follow at 3:00PM, officiated by Pastor Richard Mospens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Badger Hartford Troop 4090 at 8179 Thompson Sharpsville Road, Masury, OH 44438 in Randy’s memory.
