Raymond F. Beil Sr, 76, of North Lima, Ohio, passed away December 31, 2018 while surrounded by his family at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman. Ray was born December 3, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, to John and Athalia Beil. He wed the love of his life, Marian Rose, on August 7, 1965 at St. Luke Catholic Church. He was a retiree from General Motors Lordstown, where he was a proud member of the UAW Local 1112. Ray had many interests and hobbies, including cheering on his beloved Browns & Indians, attending his grandchildrens events, traveling & camping across the country, vacationing at the beach, reading, listening to music, and playing board games. He was a traditionalist who loved hanging as many Christmas lights and coloring as many Easter eggs as possible with his grandchildren each year. He enjoyed his pets, was an avid and talented painter of cars, and took pride in maintaining his home, yard, and swimming pool for all to enjoy. Above all, Ray cherished spending time with his family, and was his happiest during the vacations and holidays in which many or all of his children & grandchildren could join him and Marian. Ray will be forever loved and remembered for his passion for life, great sense of humor, easy going nature, his heart of gold, and most of all, for being an amazing husband, father and papa. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marian; children Laura Patterson (fianc Marty Rakoff), Janet (Kyle) Mueller, Raymond Jr. (Jenny), and Donald; grandchildren William Patterson III, Rachel and Brennan Beil, Liam, Noah and Sophia Mueller, and Jakoby Emerine; brothers Jack (Peggy) Beil, Robert (Marlene) Beil and Donald (Edie) Beil; sisters Mary Ellen Belchyk and Eileen (Jack) McGowan; Aunt Helen Beil; many nieces and nephews; and close friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Grimm and sister Mary Lou (Richard) Bosley. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 4 th at 2:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
