Raymond M. Featsent

AUSTINTOWN---Funeral services will be held `11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Raymond M. Featsent, 84 of Austintown who passed away Monday morning at Briarfield at Ashley. Raymond was born Sept. 22, 1918 in Youngstown, the son of William and Edith Shears Featsent and was a lifelong area resident. He had been employed with the US Steel Corp. as a roller retiring in 1975. Raymond was an Army veteran serving as a sergeant with the 95th Bombardment Squadron during WWII. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping. His wife, the former Alice Hunt, whom he married August 19, 1946 passed away in 1986. He is survived by his four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A daughter, Donna Barr, three sisters, Beatrice Price, Grace Ida Ohlinger and Alberta May Featsent and brother Earl Featsent preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
