Rev. Katherine Lucille Zents

Rev. Katherine Lucille Zents, formerly of Boardman and Warren, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Barrington Place in Lecanto, Florida. She was 92 years old. Katherine was born August 11, 1917 in North Jackson the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Pograniczny) Litwin and was a graduate of North Jackson High School. Katherine attended Bible College and was an ordained minister the Assemblies of God and served the Denomination as a Missionary to Africa for 36 years. Prior to going to Africa, she and her husband pastured churches in Chardon and Geneva, Ohio. Katherine was a charter member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Austintown. Katherine was married on September 3, 1938 to Rev. Raymond L. Zents, Sr. and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2004. She is survived by two children Raymond L. (Diane) Zents of Hernando, Florida and June A. (Robert) Palfrey of Leesburg, Florida; two sisters Josephine Scott of Fresno, California and Mary Barnes of Berlin Center; three brothers Joseph Litwin of Virginia, John Litwin of Lincoln, California and William Litwin of Austintown; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Katherine was preceded in death by two sisters Anna Skeebo and Helen Scott. Calling hours will take place on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio, 44515, where a funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Katherine’s name to HPH Hospice, 3545 N. Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, Fl, 34465.
