Richard C. Fette

Richard C. Fette, 87, passed away on November 9, 2018 at OBrien Memorial Health Care Center. Richard was born in Sharon on August 11, 1931 to Jordan & Elizabeth (Wiesen) Fette. After graduating from Sharon High School, Richard proudly served his county in the US Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he spent his career as a Foreman for Sawhill Tubular. He retired after 42 years of service in 1994. He was a devote Catholic and member of St. Bernadette and St. Patrick Catholic Churches for many years. He enjoyed visiting with the Sawhill retirees and attending the annual Army reunions. He loved hunting and fishing, solving crossword puzzles and reading. Most importantly he was a loving husband and father, however his greatest joy was his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his wife Michaelene; his children Carla (Richard) Garofali and Michael (Debbie) Fette his grandchildren Brian Fette, Amber (Chris) Scott, Justin Garofali and Jason Fette; his great-grandson Aiden Fette, his sister Barbara Ulmer and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Fette and sister Margaret Knapp. Visitation for Richard will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, Brookfield, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon.
