His favorite pastimes were fishing and jetskiing. Richard was a hardworking man who was very devoted to his family and friends, and he will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, the former Shirley K. Anderson, whom he married July 14, 1951. He also leaves behind two children; Paul R. (Debra) Fiehler of Austintown; and Rhonda (Robin Steinbeck) Fiehler of Leroy, OH; a brother; Robert (Jessie) Fiehler of Naples, Fla; three grandchildren; Steven Fiehler of Boardman; Stacy (Shawn) Wayland of Austintown; and Amy (Chris) Spencer also of Austintown; and three great grandchildren; Joshua, Ryan, and Lucas Wayland. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard's family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Hospice House for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him. Friends may call from 5-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice House or to the Hope Lodge in Cleveland.
